Magic Jack not so "Magic" - tech support

For the first couple of weeks, I had little or no problems. However, I primarily make outgoing calls and receive few incoming calls. I noticed that my incoming calls would ring once and I'd answer and there would be nothing. The call dropped. It does this about 1/2 of the time I receive incoming calls. I've been with their tech support a total of six hours and STILL haven't gotten a resolution. I've done just about everything except buy a new PC. One "tech" told me to turn off my firewall and anti-virus! Yeah, riiiiight. Just what I want to do is leave my PC open to ANY vulnerability that may be out on the internet. Another couple or three techs completely ignored my asking about what to do about the "New Hardware Found" prompt. I finally just went ahead and added it myself. While Magic Jack seems no worse than the cable telephone I had before, it really is. I would not recommend that anybody use this unless they have an alternate line. Their tech support appears to be overseas and as typical of overseas tech support, they lack good communication skills. They also appear to lack the training for in depth problems and are reluctant to escalate to a better tech. When they do, they say this is one of the top 10% techs and they are just as clueless as the first level techs.
