Don't use the MagicJack as your main line. I had no problem downloading to my PC and getting the phone to function properly. I was unable to get my fax machine to work properly. I noticed that my PC performance slowed down dramatically when it was plugged into the USB port. I checked my CPU performance (control alt delete) while it was plugged in and it was consistently peaking at 100%. Given that I have purchased 2 years worth of service, I plug it in when I want to use it and unplug it when I need to surf the web. The phone won't ring if it isn't plugged in and if the PC is off. I do enjoy being notified via email when I get a voicemail. I this product didn't slow down my PC performance so much, I'd recommend the MagicJack. Also, I just had my hard drive replaced and reinstalled the MagicJack and the PC performance is still slow.
