On October 30th I was approved for a merchant account with First Data according to Michael Tisdale. I explained to him that my company is a travel company and we speak with clients over the phone. Michael told me that he could get me a great rate of 0.5 percent, plus I have to pay $150.00 per month for 48 months. I have 30 days to cancel and change my mind. I became concerned. I processed 2 transactions for a total of $1,894.00, and 5 days later the money was not in my business account. I reached out to Michael Tisdale and he would never respond to me after I signed the contract.
I spoke with a lady by the name of Crystal Graza regarding why my funds were being held. She told me that First Data is holding the money because they think it is fraud. For one, I am a business owner. I have my Florida Seller of Travel and a surety bond for my company, plus I am ARC accredited. I sent Crystal all the information she asked for to get this resolved. I asked her if I may please get the number to First Data to speak with them directly. She told me I can't. I told her I am within my 30 days grace to cancel. She told me I would be charged $450.00 plus $7,200 for breaking my contract. I haven't been with this company for 2 weeks and I want out of the contract with no cost added. This company has also taken $140.00 out of my account that I want reimbursed back to me.
I was misled and scammed by Merchant Industry LLC out of New York. This company also keeps running my credit without my permission. I have contacted the BBB and filed a complaint, and I will also be reaching out to the New York State Department of Agriculture about this company. I am within my grace period. I want out of this contract and my money back.
