I ordered an alternator for my 1998 328I BMW on 3 June at a cost of $207.73. (Order no. 103790) It showed the item in stock. I was later told that item was out of stock. I traveled to Pittsburg, California on the 9th of June and returned on the 19th. I was sure the alternator would have arrived. It had not. I put in a cancellation of the order on June 20th. I had my alternator repaired and drove the car to Alabama.
I received the alternator around July 6. I did not open the package. I immediately contacted the company. They emailed me a RA number: 7282930 to return the unit and an address. I was instructed to send the alternator" Return Department 37137 Hickory St Newark, CA 94560. I shipped the unit on July 8th, at a cost of $17.31 and it was received and signed for on the 19th of July.
I have been waiting for the company to credit my account since the alternator was returned. I have emailed the company several times asking about the credit to my credit card account. During all of these transactions I have never been able to contact the company via phone.
I read the consumer complaints on expressautoparts too late to stop my order. I am out of $207.73 for the part and $17.31 to return the part of which I got no use. This company have supplanted me in my lawful undertakings. I will definitely persue my journey on this matter. I hope all of you out there will take due notice and govern yourself accordingly.
