On july 18th a peoples gas employee entered into my home to do a manadatory safety inspection. The employee did not check for a gas leak in one of my gas lines before he lit a match in my furnace room, his incompetence caused a loud explosion with a fire flame igniting from the leaking gas line. The technician figured he better call for a more experience technician. When the second technician arrived she quietly explained to the first technician that he was worng and would be wrote up for his incompetence afterwards she said that she was gonna have to cut my gas off and i am gonna have to call in a contractor to fix the leaking gas line. I am a faithful and dedicated bill payer therefore i owe peoples gas $0 balance also i am and have been in the pipeline plus protection program that i spend extra on my monthly bill but still i had to call a contractor out to fix what the peoples gas was suppose to fix because after all i am in the pipeline plus protection program. I have received one call from the supervisor who read to me over the phone a false complaint that i did not make. Bottom line their employee put my family and home in danger by lighting that match before detecting any gas leak. I repeat this was suppose to be a mandatory safety inspection.
