I would advise individuals not to purchase a vehicle from any Mitsubishi dealership, ever! As one can see by all of the complaints seen on this site, the company needs to be shut down for many of the practices mentioned, almost of all of which I have been a victim of. Most consumers don't know, but the Japanese are trying to sale their shares in this company because of the being in debt and the companies terrible business ethic. I don't want to bore you with my experience, because I have experienced a little of everything menioned on this web site about this company. These are the reasons that you should not deal with this company. They are as follows:
1. They will have you sign something called the Diamond Advantage Deal (which some individuals have gotten together here in Alabama and sued them over.) In this deal you will be paying regular car notes, but you will not own the car at the end of your lease agreement. You will have to pay a balloon payment of $5,000-$10,000 at the end of the lease. If you don't they will either ruin your credit if you keep the car or you will never recieve the title, or you will have to return the car. The reason this is unfair is because you are paying a normal car payment, yet leasing the car. If leasing a car, the payments should be much cheaper than a normal car note.
2. They overcharge for their cars. If you purchse a car with nothing down with this company, you will pay between $10-$20 thousand more than the car is worth. That means that when it is time to get a new car, you will still be paying on a hooptie. This means that you will never own a Mitsubishi before you have to purchase another car, so no enjoying extra money every month after paying on a car note for five years, sometimes longer.
3. The cars are cheap. They are o.K. But they are not luxory cars. The jeeps and other vehicles break down, yet you have to pay all of this money for them.
4. The company will ruin your credit. Even if you pay on your car, after terms change or if their is any problem with your car, this company may or may not contact you to work out a deal. (I think they know they are going out of business soon, and just simply do not care who they take with them.) If you want to own a home and a good car some day, DO NOT purchase a car from this company.
5. The car salesman for this company use shady practices including physical force and cooercion to get clients to buy cars (WHICH IS ALL ILLEGAL BY THE WAY). When they give you one contract if you are not busy savvy, you could be signing anything.
6. The customer service representatives and salesman are mean and stupid. THEY JUST DON'T CARE what problems you are having once you have a signed a contract with them.
7. PLEASE I hope I am not overstepping my bounds by trying to speak for myself and others who have complained on this web site. Do not purchase a car from this company. I know you may be in desperate need for a car, but try to remain calm and patient, maybe even save up some money, get some credit and go elsewhere to purchase a car from this company period.
