Victor Godfrey called me up after seeing my car add for my BMW 745Li in the Autotrader. Victor will promise to lease or sell your car within a month. He proposes that he already has a buyer for the car and leasing the car would be very easy. Victor would then lease the car for 6 months to a year until the individual leasing the car would build his credit. Once the credit is built the lesser would refinance the car. I was desperate to get rid of two cars with minimal loss, they were both $10,000 upside down and I needed to find a way to get rid of them. Both cars were not even intended to be mine, but that is another long story in which I trusted a couple of individuals.
Victor took two of my cars, both BMW 745li's, and "leased" them out, but it took 3 to 4 months for him to lease both out. Each individual leasing/buying the cars knows the sale price of the car and that sale price minus the monthly lease payments would be the refinanced price. The first car sold for $47,000 while he only told me it sold for $43,000. The other car sold for $44,000 in which he told me it sold for $36,000. He also took a very large down payment for both cars, about $10,000, from the individuals that are leasing the cars and never gave me a dime of that down payment. He also negotiates a monthly payment from each lesser. The persons leasing the cars were each paying $900 and $1200 for cars and Victor was only paying me $800 a month for both of the cars. He took $100 to $300 off the top of the monthly payment being made to me. I know this because I finally found the individuals who have both of my cars and they told me the terms and conditions of the sale of both cars.
I'm now trying to make arrangements with those individuals who have my cars, but we will both have to take a substantial lose.
I have found that Victor has been indicted on 20 charges in connection to leasing high end cars. Please see his report on NC wanted by WRAL http://www.ncwanted.com/ncwanted_home/story/2774431/
I am personally not a part of this particular 20 charges and it seems the court has let Victor off on probation. Since then he has disappeared and cannot be found. If you see Victor please respond to this report and contact NC wanted at 1-866-43-WANTED
