Mitsubishi offers a wide range of deceptive finance practices. The decption stems from the so called Diamond plans.By law, if there is a ballon payment after your final payment, the contract is a lease! Many unknowing customers, including myself, thought that the auto purchase was a flat out purchase. When one asks about the ballon payment, the sales representative will tell you that it will be included miraculously into your your payments. I was told that the ballon payment was included in my monthly payments. Years later, I am stuck with a vehicle that I cannot get rid of, and have to pay over $15,000 in one ballon payment next yaer when I make my last installment payment. After speaking with a Mitsubishi finance angent I found out that the Diamond plan was illegal in the state of Texas. The Diamond plan is a lease no matter how you look at it. So please be aware of the deceptive and fruagulent finance practices Mitsubishi Motors engage in.
