KCs Automotive in El Dorado, KS seems professional but is NOT.

I've had them work on my Ford Focus and it was fixed just fine. Then I took my Ford Explorer and when I got it home I had to take it back because it ran worse than when I took it in. I went back to pick it up and everything I asked to have
fixed wasn't fixed, so I had to wait some more to get it all fixed. Everything still wasn't fixed because the squirrel cage on my AC hadn't been fixed, I changed it myself. All was good and then I took my Explorer to have air shocks put in. And I thought it was taken care of. I was driving home from the lake with my camper and the rear-end was low, so we stopped by to have air put in it. Kenny Collins put some air in it, but didn't know what the recommended PSI was so he didn't put
much in. We drove home fine, even though the rear-end was still a little low.

I called O'Reilly's to find out what the maximum PSI and recommended PSI was for my air shocks. They told me the maximum PSI was 150 and recommended 130-140 while towing my camper. I took the gauge to the valve stem and it read 0. I thought my gauge was bad, so I went to Orscheln's and bought a different gauge. I tried it again and it said 0 too. I have a small Slime air compressor for my tires so I hooked it up to air shock valve stem to see where it was at and to air it up. When I hooked it up it showed 10 PSI (but the compressor not hooked up shows 10 anyways). I aired it up to 135 PSI and left it hooked up to the compressor and watched the PSI slowly drop and you could hear the air just breezing out of the shocks.

So I called Kenny and left a message. His wife, Patti Collins called me back and said she couldn't get me in until Monday. Which I was scheduled for Monday anyways for some bushings to be changed. I told her that was fine, but I could hear Kenny in the background. He asked what the rating was on the shocks and I told Patti that Pam from O'Reilly's said 130-140, max 150. Then all I could hear Kenny in the background cussing. Saying that I had to blow them up because I watched him install them. I told Patti I would just take my business elsewhere if he wanted to act like that and I hung up.

I did call back and leave a message about the trolling motor for my boat because we had the boat at the shop because a guy wanted to buy my boat motor only and I was going to have him take it off for me, but then the guy decided to buy my boat without the trolling motor so we took it off and put it in the back of the shop. So I want to make sure I get my trolling motor, mount and pedals back in one piece.

I called another mechanic that lives closer to me and he said that Kenny should have taken a spray bottle with soapy water over the line to make sure it had no leaks. Like Kenny said I watched him install it and I never seen him check my
lines for leaks. So now I have to take this to another mechanic who didn't install it, so there goes my warranty, to fix what Kenny wouldn't check for me.

I do NOT recommend anyone go to KCs Automotive in El Dorado, KS. You never know if he'll disrespect you the way he did me or not fix your vehicle correctly the first time. He may be the cheapest mechanic around but you get what you pay for in the long run.
