State Farm Automotive Insurance
Ripoff deceptive representation of clientele

I have been a client with Sate farm for about four years within that time frame, I incurred three incidents: one an accident where I was the liable party in October and two comprehensive on in May when a tree fell on my car and the other in March when my vehicle was stolen!

On Thrusday July 15 I discovered that State Farm Automotive Insurance no longer insured my vehicle. I spoke with a State Farm representative by the name of Corren, she stated that I should have received a letter from State Farm and in the letter it was informing me that State Farm was no longer going to contiue to insure me. It was at that time that I informed her that I did receive a letter from State Farm but in the letter it stated that they were no longer insuring the 2000 Honda, the car that was stolen. She stated that the letter meant that they were no longer insuring the policy number, which meant that they would no longer be supplying me with insurance. She did state that she would talk with her manger and contact Jeanne Thompson the Underwriter. She also stated that she would contact the next morning.

Friday morning she called by the phone only rung twice and hung up, so I called the number back and asked for Coreen. She informed me that the Uderwriter will no longer agree to insure me. She stated that to be honest State Farm had decided to drop me the momement the thrid claim was filed. I became very emotional I could not understand how this was happening. I began to expalin that the policy number on the letter did not match the policy number on the declaration page insuring the 2004 Honda. I stated I did not understand how they could drop me without proper notice, the letter was addressing the 2000 vechile and not the 2004 vechile. She asked me if I was sure I insured the 2004 vechile, I informed her that I had reported in person to there office located at 4400 West Sample Rd, Ste 120, Coconut Creek, FL 33073 and spoke with an agent. I informed her that the agent had supplied me with a temporay card and the orgianl card was sent in the mail. She keep implying that the 2004 vechicle was not insured and I informed her that the 2004 vechile had been insured as March 18 and that if they were going to cancel me from their polciy that information should have been addressed in the April letter. I informed her that I disregarded the letter because I figured it did not apply to the new vehicle, if I would have known I would have contacted the company sooner and would not be in the mess I am in now. I stated that the company was very despective in their practices toward their customers, I informed her that I am being punished for acts that I could not control, such as, the tree falling on my car and the car being stolen; both situations were beyond my control but I am the person being punished. I told her that it is as if I am being victimized again. But this vicimization is even more painful than the first because State Farm promised to protect their customers; the catch is you better not file a claim who cares that the circumstances were beyond your control. The fact is that if they pay you pay and you are the one in the pit.

Her patience was failing and she appeared to now be the one who was upset, which I did not understand because she had insurance.

I eventually I got insurance but because I have been without insurance that it a large pentalty in its self and the three claims are counted agaist me. The results I had to a $700 dollar deposit for insurance and will be paying $330 a month for insurance and had the insurance company had been fair and honest in their dealing I would not be in this siutation. It is as a victim that was raped is being raped all over again by the system and there appears to be nothing that can be done. These large corporation appear to be able to get away with this type of practice and their is no one out there to protect the consumer. Once I was considered a good driver/customer now I am a risk.
