We used Pro Pack because it was close to our house and never thought we would ever encounter a situation like this. My girlfriend went to ship out my buddies golf clubs on 2/27 @ 3:14 pm, to New Jersey from here in Myrtle Beach, SC. They charged us $52.16 which at first we thought was kind of high, anyways we paid cash and Jeff said that they would arrive in 2 to 3 days via Fed Ex. My buddy Robb calls myself on 2/29 to see where is clubs might be because he was leaving for the day and didn't want them to be just sitting on his porch. He asked for the tracking number which is usually on the receipt but could not be found anywhere. After calling Fed Ex he had no record of anything being shipped from that place to his address? After Robb tried to call the Pro Pack place for about an hour they finally answered and told him that they would locate his clubs and call him back. Since I was next door I decided to stop in to check and see what I could find out.in the meantime Robb had called me and told me that Fed Ex had not picked up anything from there and further more they stopped picking packages up from there because they were delinquent on payments. When I walked in I asked the guy "Jeff" behind the counter if he knew where the package was and at the same time I noticed the big box that the clubs were in 15 feet away. Right away he got extremely defensive. I then asked why they haven't been picked up when you said it would arrive in 2 to 3 days with tomorrow being the third day. Also I asked who was picking them up and when he said Fed Ex. I said well Robb just got off the phone with them and they won't pick up anything here because of the delinquencies. I asked if I could get a refund and the clubs. He stated "with a receipt he would give me a refund" which I completely understood. I then had to go down the road to my to get the receipt from my girl friend. I came back and said here's the receipt, he then stated you weren't the one who dropped them off and your not Robb. Well he just told me I needed a receipt? Obviously he knew he had got caught in a lie telling Robb that he would check on them and that Fed Ex would pick them up. He made me give him a copy of my drivers license because for some reason he doubted me even though I had the receipt and knew exactly what was in the box, which I offer to open and let him see, "he stated I don't give a s*!
The kicker is we paid cash and he would not refund me cash? He made me take a business check from Pro Pack Ship. Even though I was extremely frustrated I never lost my cool and just wanted to get the refund and the clubs! I had asked for cash and he told me that he didn't have that kind of money in the drawer. $52.16? Also said you can take the check or not. I mean what kind of business lies and takes your money when they know they Fed Ex will not come and pick up anything, then won't refund you the way you paid. This has to be the worst experience I have ever had with any business. I will never go back there and make sure that I tell everyone I know what kind of place this is.
