I had bought some diapers from wal-mart in a size newborn before my baby was born. Well, he was 11 pounds so needless to say they didn't fit.
Upon returning them, i found out that since i had no receipt, i had to get the same exact diapers in a bigger size. Well, that's all fine and good, but they didn't have any. These weren't cheap diapers... They were huggies, around $12.00 per pack.
When i went back and told them at customer service, they said they could give me a credit of $2.00 a pack for a $12.00 pack of diapers. I had 7 packs!!! Thats $14.00 credit for $84.00 worth of diapers.
I told the lady at the counter i'd rather give them away than to give them to wal-mart, so they could turn around and sell them for regular price.
Only god above knew my son would be so big. Wal-mart used to give cash refunds with or without receipt. Then it went to cash with receipt and exchange without. Then, a gift card for no receipt. Now they want to give you a gift card even with a receipt!!!
As if the waltons aren't rich enough... They're not getting my money. They already have lots more than me.
These gift cards are a way to make sure you keep your money there. Oh, by the way, if you do use your cardand say there's only75 cents left on it, they don't offer it back to you.
I wonder how much money they've made doing this to unsuspecting customers.
