I purchased a 2011 Fiesta in late September. I have enjoyed the technology behind this vehicle, unfortunately in late April my neighborhood was hit by a tornado and there was a little over $7,000 in body damage to my new Fiesta. I had the vehicle towed to Ted Russell Ford (the same dealer of purchase) on 5/11 and was warned that the work would take about a month due to all of the storm damage coming in. On 6/1 I called the Ford body shop to check on the progress since I should be close to finished and was heartbroken to find out that work on my vehicle had not started. The body shop manager called me back and explained that as my Fiesta was a new model for Ford parts like the hood, roof insert, windshield, rear and front wipers that I needed were not yet available and were back ordered. I must say I was livid that Ford put a car on the market that they did not have parts available for. I have walked to work for a month, I take care of my grandmother and now I can't get her to her doctor's appointments, all the while I'm making payments on a brand new vehicle that Ford never prepared themselves to repair. Putting my home and life back together after the tornado have been difficult enough, but the lack of service from Ford have been heartbreaking. I've always driven a Ford and have reached out to anyone at the dealer that would listen or help, the general manager (but never even got a return call), the body shop manager who honestly told me he didn't know how long I would have to wait. I have a new car I can't drive and that Ford can't repair and I think that is unacceptable. All I want is someone to offer some answers or assistance.
