Ripoff: Household auto used my checking acct info for payment. Unauthorized

I have always made my car payments ontime..in the last year and a half I started using the check by phone method to make my payments. On the 31st I called in to make my payment like always by phone. When I talked to a customer service rep she said that I was not behind and in fact a customer service rep called ME! On the 30th and set up a phone pay for the 31st for the amount of my car payment." THIS NEVER HAPPENED!"

I told her that I am calling in now to make that payment but I had not been contacted by anyone from HAFC. I inquired further and found out that the acct number I had suposebly given them was a acct that I had closed 3 weeks prior. I told them this.

Eventually I request for a supervisor and of course got there voicemail. Left word to contact me and what had happened. No call. 3 hours later I call again. Get transferred to voicemail. No CAll. 2 hours later. SAME THING.

In the last two days I have called 7 times and everytime I get voicemail and NOBODY CALLS BACK! Needless to say I made my payment NOT BY my new checking acct. But went ahead and used Western Union Quick Collect. They claim I talked to them cause there notes say that.

ANYONE CAN PUT ANYTHING IN THE NOTATION FIELD whether it be true or not. They held my Old Checking acct info. Hit my closed acct. And noted on my acct that they talked to me and I gave them this info and permission. It never happened!!! Advice here??? Legal???
