Mo. AG sues towing company over Joplin function

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (Authorized Newsline) - Mo Attorney General Chris Koster introduced a temporary restraining order on Friday against a Parkville, Mo., towing company for allegedly defrauding Joplin citizens.
Northland Pull Companies presumably broke the Mo Selling Practices Work within the aftermath of the May 22 Joplin storm. Koster claims the organization towed cars which were broken from the storm, wrongly displayed with a clients that it caused an insurance provider and towed additional automobiles with no homeowners' authorization or understanding. An overall total of 54 automobiles were presumably towed in the region suffering from the storm to some area in Baxter Springs, Kan.
"Sadly, you can find usually people who will require benefit of naive customers during instances of misfortune, " Koster said. "I do want to proceed to make sure people who this workplace is likely to be intense in-going after people who participate in this illegal conduct."
The court order prohibits Northland from doing company in Joplin, Jasper County, Mo., or Newton County, Mo., with out formerly been solicited to do this. Additionally, it's banned from moving any cars it towed in the region suffering from the storm without prior acceptance of the courtroom and from losing any files associated with the towing.
In June, Koster submitted an identical suit against Freedom Pull & Restoration Inc.in both instances, Koster is seeking restitution for customers and civil fines.
