BEWARE of American Express. I too have had a bad experience with American Express. My payments were auto debited from my account, I was never late, only the time American Express could not draw on their end, what a mess that was. I was assured it wouldn't change my account. Well that was in it has just now. My rate went from 4.99% to 17.99%. I haven't used the card, so they weren't making enough money off me I guess. I was told this is because I didn't respond to a peice of mail they sent me, and too much time had passed, they had reviewed my case allready but no they wouldn't help me. I had called 2 Months ago and was told this matter would be looked into, but it would take 2 billing cycles. Si I waited and it did me no good. I have a very good credit score, not been late, and they still would not work with me. Needless to say I will be paying this card off
