These companies prey on the minorities and are well known for selling the most cars in central florida and also reposessing the most cars.
What is their scam? They prey on the unsuspecting who cannot finance easily. They ask for a large down payment to cover their costs they bought the cars for from the auction and reposess as many as they can, even reposessing a day or two after the due date and selling the car to another unsuspecting minority for a large down payment, which is now pure profit and for the same amount or more than the first buyer paid.
The biggest problem is their clientele are not as educated as they should be and most do not know how to stop these thieves. While it is true that they have the right to reposess a car that is late, they have the law stating they have to 1) notify the customer of the sale and 2) pay to the customer any difference in money over the amount they owe.
So many people have the right to get back some of their money from these crooks but they do not follow the law and not only do not notify people but they do not pay anyone back the money they owe them.
You may think you have to have money to fight these scroundrels but all you need to do is file a complaint with the department of consumer affairs and also i think all of the people who have been swindled by these folks should get together to do a class action suit and shut them down. Write letters to your congressmen, senators and even the president on how these minorities are being swindled.
An employee of thiers stated that in august chaney's used cars had already made 9 million dollars for 2009.9 million dollars that they swindled by preying on the misfortunate. Alot of that money should have been returned when they sold their car for top dollar back again to others.
Send certified letters to them asking them for when the car you had was sold and for how much money.
