All Tune And Lube
Ripped off with defective parts and Unprofessional work

I took my 1993 Rodeo to the All Tune and Lube for a Major tune up and electrical wire set replacement. Upon picking up my vehicle I noticed a puddle of oil under my car and when I questioned the mechanic about it he said "Oh! I'm sorry I must not have tightned the plug all the way".

Then as I turned the key in the ignition my vehicle began to jump and shimmy as if something was wrong. When I addressed the problem to the manager I was told sometimes when you replace the wires it may cause whatever problem that might have been there to surface and that my ignition coils went bad and needed to be replaced at $800.00 dollars.

When I finally got my vehicle back I noticed that there was electrical problems for example My seatbelt indicator would go off before I engaged my seatbelt etc. (to many to name). As I started driving my vehicle the check engine indicator light came on. Unfortunately, The shop had closed and I would need to bring it by In the morning.

The next morning When I indicated that my check engine indicator had come on they test drove my car and said that they could not get it to repeat but they would run an engine diagnostic "free of charge". Moments later the mechanic and the manager said, they could not find anything wrong. So I immediately took my car to a Certified Repair shop that specializes in my type of vehicle. Told them the problem I was having and asked if they could run an engine diagnostic test and find out what was wrong. With me watching they ran the test and then with another device showed me that the Ignition coils, all of them were bad and that the wire set I had was the wrong one and that was what Initially destroyed my original coil pack. Also that spark plugs 1,4 and 5 was not firing thus the check engine indicator and I needed a tune up.

Since, The work done was under warranty I returned my vehicle to All Tune and Lube and told them there was a problem and what they were. They said they would inspect the vehicle again to see if they can find anything but were confident they would not. After having my vehicle for two hours the manager said that they discovered the ignition coils to be defective and would replace everything.

My question to the manager was isn't there an operational check you go though to make sure that the parts you just replaced is functioning properly? Also, how could you call a job complete when it leaves in worst condition than when it was brought in the shop. Again, I get in my car and leave as soon as I hit the interstate at about 60 mph my car started jumping and shimmying. When I called and told them of the problem they told me to bring it in again.

When I asked if they used original manufactuers parts that met my vehicle specifications I was told most vehicles run using generic parts. And that it should have been o'kay. I reminded them that the reason I was having this problem was because they subsituted parts and still haven't reimbursed me for the ingition coil pack expense.

They are unprofessional and the level of craftsmanship at this business is unacceptable. They use substandard parts and their Quality Assurance program does not exist. They concentrate more on completing the job then the quality of work. It took me bringing my vehicle back three to four times before they ordered the correct manufactuers parts for my vehicle. I would not recommend this All Tune and Lube to anyone. They need new mechanics ones who take pride in their work and in doing a good job. But, then again that has to start from the owners and then Management.
