Dennis And Chris At MAACO Auto Painting In La Habra, California Store #1621 ripoff stole expensive ham-radio antenna base ($170) and radio antenna ($30) fraudulent ripoff business

I took my car for repainting and asked Dennis? (who I believe to be the owner) not to reinstall the ham-radio antenna base, but place it in the trunk for me. When I went to pick it up, the antenna base and my regular radio antenna were not to be found. I assumed that they were misplaced and Dennis told me he will call the following day.

When he did not, I called them, but he would not come to the phone; he would ask the receptionist to relate his message. I still did not get a call from the shop by the end of the week, I became upset and insisted that they talk with me. Finally, Dennis' son, Chris came to the phone and told me that they thrashed my ham-radio antenna base, consisting of 2 parts, because it was old and rusty. (I have pictures to prove that the parts were like brand-new; they are stainless steel.) Dennis confirmed.

I asked them who gave them the right to decide what to keep or not to keep, and the only answer they gave me is that I did not sign a paper stating that I want the old parts returned.

I specifically told Dennis, not once, but 3 times to please put the parts in the trunk - no need to reinstall. Can he lie about that? Yes, he told me he did not remember.

Both Dennis and Chris are lying. This concerns me greatly. The base of that antenna was custom made for this car; it cost $150, plus the attachment of $20. They also have my regular radio antenna (checked the prices at local stores and it costs $29-30). Dennis said that I can go and pick it up, but when I told him that I need the other 2 parts, he said that he will FedEx it to me. Well, it is over a week and he did not send that antenna.

I wrote them a letter explaining that I give them until July 15th to send me a payment of $200, which will cover the stolen pieces. I also had a lawyer send them a letter informing them of my intentions.
