This incident happened late 2006 and I finally have a place I found to let the masses know what trashy place this is.
My wife and I decided that we wanted to look at a Jeep Compass and that I would trade in my 2002 Saturn Vue. We drove up there and was greeted to a nice salesmen who seemed nice. We told him first that we would like to check our credit standing to see what we qualify for before we really look at the car.
He ran our report and then took us outside to look at the jeeps. I told him we were only interested in a compass but he told us we didnt qualify. During the coarse of the next hour he showed us 10 cars. I should stoped him right there and left but he was good at telling us what we wanted to hear.
Lastly he had us in a jeep liberty it seemed nice.
In the office with the finance guy (REAL CREEP) he showed us that I was going to get 11 grand for my trade sounded nice and that i would have negative equity and it would be put on the loan, fair enough. They had the car outside and they told us that they were closing and they would tell us our interest rate and payments. They gave us the keys no paperwork.
Again I should of said wait a minute this isnt right...
As soon as I got home I told my wife we made a big mistake and pretty much didnt sleep at all that night.
Now this is were the real nightmare begins. I wake up and call off of work becuase i needed to go back and get my car back. I got there right when they opened and asked to speak to the finance guy. He basically told me you bought the car theres nothing that can be done. I sat and waited for the manager and he came out at 11 am and told me my car was in PA that they sold it... WAIT A MINUTE I just traded cars last night a 9pm... So he told me he is having the driver come back bought the muffley came off. Odd i never had any problems.
I waited 2 more hours and he tried to convince me that i could get another car I protested and he took me back to see the general manager and I just pleaded to have my car back and I would hand them the keys to theres.
NOW here is the kicker my car was behind the lot this whole time. I had gotten so pissed off that I walked out only to discover my car sitting there. I walked over to feel the hood and it was cold. I walked right back in there and demanded to talk to the general manager. I told him what the floor manager said which in turn he denied. I then started talking to potential customers and telling them my current ordeal that they are putting me through. After talking with a couple of them the floor manager called me over tossed me the keys and said get out. I happily obliged and left.
I realize I should of never left without papers and a payment but they did take advantage of the situation and treated me like crap.
