Financially ripped me off and stole personal property from my vehicle

Unfortunately my car was reposessed, but while trying to do the right thing and pay to get my car back, I got the run around and rude behavior from ever staff member working at PIRATE AUTO RECOVERY.

1) I was told I couldn't just show up with the money to pay for the vehicle.
2) I was told different dollar amounts for each day it was in storage.
3) I was told I had to wait a couple of days for them to receive the "paperwork" from my vehicle's lienholder - adding to the number of days it was in storage.
4) When I was about to drive out to pick up the vehicle, they told me at the very last minute that if I want my personal belongings, I'd have to pay a few hundred dollars... Assuming that I had already known this prior.
5) They don't tell you that you have to have cash to complete the transaction, nor do they tell you to bring EXACT CHANGE, or be refused - adding yet more days.
6) They have you sign documents releasing their liability if there is damage to the vehicle BEFORE YOU SEE/RECEIVE THE VEHICLE.
7) The entire process should have only taken no more than 20 to 30 minutes, but because of other issues I had with the vehicle's condition prior to taking posession (currently pending legal action), it wound up being almost a 2 hour process.
8) They claimed to have "inventoried" my personal items, yet when I received the car back, most of my interior stuff was thrown on the passenger seat, and everything else was in the exact same place before the car was reposessed.
9) When everything was all done, I was out almost double the amount of what I should have paid, on top of their smug and rude behavior, and damage to my vehicle, AND I never received a receipt.
9) When I attempted to contact them on numerous (documented) occassions for a copy of the receipt and paperwork I signed, they claimed to have sent it a few times, or told me it was returned to sender... Yet they managed to send someone out to the exact same address in the beginning to retrieve the vehicle... Yeah, okay.

So now I have damage to my 2005 vehicle from the careless tow truck driver that scooped it up with his tow equipment with no regards, some of my personal posessions from my car are missing, and I have no documentation on how much I paid. It clearly seems that I am not the only person this has happened to, and I am most certain this is a hidden practice of theirs they randomly do on unsuspecting victims already in a vulnerable situation... Oh, and did I mention this all took place on my wife's birthday? -ruining the occasion, not to mention taking away the extra money I had to treat her to something nice.

I certainly hope my testimony helps any of you that decide to take legal action, or have this company investigated further... God Bless.
