Charging me for damage that I did not do

I rented a Chevy Suburban but ran into trouble a few days later and the vehicle had to be towed to another Enterprise Rent-A-Car location witht he tow truck bringing me another vehicle.

The tow truck arrived in the middle of a snow storm. The new vehicle was also a Chevy Suburban, it was dirty inside and out and had a cracked windshield on the passenger side. It is 9PM, no papers in the car, no way to report the cracked windshield as the Tucson location is closed and the Flagstaff location where the vehicle came from is closed.

I alerted my Tucson location to the problem the following morning and asked them about the paperwork.

I turn in the vehicle with the cracked windshield and since there is no paperwork, they just accepted the vehicle as is.

A week letter I get a letter from Damage Recovery claiming that there is a dent in the original vehicle's hood. It left with the tow truck in A-1 condition. Where the dent came from who knows, being towed in a snow storm on I-40, being dropped at night in an unlocked parking lot at an airport?

And then a few days later, I get another letter from Damage Recovery asking me to pay for the cracked windshield, which was cracked when I received it, reported it cracked. Etc.

I am awaiting Damage Recovery to answer my faxes, and the District Manager to get back to me.
But I know the drill, they send you an invoice, you don't pay it goes to collection, which I won't pay.
