My Jeep was in repossesion for only a matter of business hours before I was able to clear up the situation. My car was towed by/to Fender's Recovery. I went in the next day to retrieve my car and was shocked to find out later that a bunch of items were stolen from the vehicle. I was told to sign the personal property wiaver before I could get my vehicle. (My stuff was in the vehicle.) There were only a hand full of items and many items not listed that they had returned, and I questioned about specific items and was told they were included in the "Misc Paperwork" item.
I was told I had to pay in cash only and was not given nor offered a reciept. I could only take delivery of my vehicle after they had driven it off their property.
When I called about the missing items, they said their employee's don't steal and that if they did, why didn't they take the more expensive items? I was only really wondering about a $50 set of headphones for my returned iPod and $20 in change. If I was out to "get" them, I would've brought up a piece of heirloom jewelry that would have no registration. I just wanted those two things!
I had talked to a lawyer friend about the "Misc Paperwork" and they told me it wouldn't hold up in court on their end, but is the $70 worth the hastle of a lawsuit? No, so here I am letting the public know what happened to me.
All in all, they stole several item, treated me like I was stupid and was very rude and unprofessional.
