I had a verbal agreement from Lenny and Tony at Spreen Honda to purchase a vehicle last Monday. I was informed that they would hold the vehicle for me to purchase on Tuesday at 3pm as I needed to fly down from SF. My bank faxed the requested financing approval to Spreen Honda in order to hold the vehicle. I was told after the fax was received on Monday afternoon by Lenny "don't worry, the car is yours... We'll see you tomorrow". After booking flight and hotel reservations, I received a voicemail late that evening from Lenny stating "the car is sold". I contacted Tony, the manager the next day to explain that I had an agreement and a flight already booked. Tony stated "I don't have time for this" and then hung up on me without so much as an apology. I left several messages for Jeff and Chet Spreen which have remained unanswered. I had even suggested that they consider finding me another vehicle to make amends but no reply. I have contacted the BBB and Honda Corp. To help make decent people aware of their slimy business practices. I am sure they will try to lie their way out of this the way they have done with other negative posts. Hopefully karma will come their way soon...
