Complaint / review text:
I bought a 2014 Honda Accord in November 2013. I test drove the vehicle on a few city streets. I liked the vehicle and bought the vehicle. I drove the vehicle home and noticed a leak around the window. The air leak around the window was fairly loud. I advised Honda of the matter the next day. Honda had a technician look at the vehicle and attempt to fix the leak. Honda assured me they would fix the issue, and stand behind the vehicle.
A Honda rep looked at the vehicle and stated the noise was louder in the vehicle than in others, but stated it must just be a characteristic of the car. Honda has repeatedly advised me that the air leak was created from the door seal and they are unable to fix the problem.
I did not agree with Honda so I took masking tape and taped the door seal of the vehicle and drove the vehicle on the highway. The noise was still there. I then removed the tape and taped the rear part of the window and the window seal. I drove the vehicle on the highway and the noise stopped. I removed the tape and drove the vehicle on the highway and the noise returned.
I notified Honda of my findings. Honda stated they are not able to do anything and are closing the complaint.
