I took my vehicle to Impact Solutions body shop on January 27. I spoke to the owner of the shop named Al. He was very polite and helpful, at that time. I left my car with him that day and picked up a rental. He at that ime stated to me that he would have my car maybe 1 week. And the nightmare begins!!!
Rental had to be returned after 20 days, so now Im carless, everyday that I went to the shop, I was told my vehicle would be ready the following day. On the 27th day I went to the shop and approached my vehicle only to find that the work was incomplete. The hood which I pointed out to him in our initial discussion, was still not repaired. The hood was sitting up an inch from the right fender. Wow, I really had to point his out to them. The hood was also missing 1 of the rubber grommets that brace the front of the hood to the front of the car.
The connections both my headlights were cracked due to overtightening, and the right headlight had some type of glue on on one of the connectors. There is severe overspray on the internal parts of the car (ie. The radiator, frame) it looks like they replaced the parts and then painted them on the car. They said they had to replace my Air condensor, now my air doesn't work at all. It only blows out hot air, and it worked perfectly last summer. He also stated that he performed a wheel alignment on the vehicle. Well, yes, you guessed it, no wheel alignment was done.
During this ordeal, from January 27th until now, Al will not answer any of my calls. I cant leave him any messages because his voice mailbox is constantly full. I can only get him on the phone when I call him from a number he doesn't recognize and then he always tells me to call him back the next day or bring my car the next day. Today was the last straw, he told me to be there at 4pm, I was there at 4pm, he wasnt, the shop was locked up tight. I called him from my number, no answer, I called him from someone elses number, he picked right up.
He told me he was on his way to the shop and promised to call me when he got there. Yes, you guessed it, he never called. At this point, I know Al has no intention on doing any more work on my car. I really dont have much recourse to my knowledge as far as taking him to court because I have to actually pay money out of my pocket now to have the parts taken off so they can give me a proper estimate on the remaining damage.
Please do not become a victim of Al at Impact Solutions 5363 Covington Hwy Decatur, Ga 30035. Al has zero proffessionalizm to himself and in my opinion has absolutely no business owning a body shop. He claims he has been in business for 20 years, but I doubt that very seriously with him doing business like this. This was done by a really incompetent person who has no idea how to fix anyones car.
