Bought 4 new tires at PepBoys on May 23 and received the buy 4 get 1 free rebate offer. The cost of the 4 tires was around $500. I was supposed to get a rebate check for $92 and some change. Not a bad "deal" I thought for 4 new tires. I filled out the paperwork for the rebate and mailed it in the same day.
About a month later had not received the rebate check so found their website where you could check the status of your rebate. The website said my check had been mailed. Great! I thought to myself, it should be in my mailbox anyday. Well 2 weeks later no check. So I called the rebate center and tell them that I have not received the check and the status shows it has not been cashed, so I told them looks like it must have got lost in the mail.
They agree, but say they have to wait 30 days from the date the original check was mailed before they can reissue a check, and to call them back after 30 days has passed. What!??? I've already waited a month and now I have to wait another month before you can reissue another check! So 30 days passes and I call them back and they say they will reissue the check. OK so I think, finally I will get my rebate check. Well over 2 weeks have passed since they said they would reissue a check and the status still shows "Processing". So now I have waited almost 3 months and still no rebate check. I'm beginning to think I will never see this rebate check. This is totally unacceptable and a total disregard for customer satisfaction. I have been a loyal PepBoys customer for over 8 years now and have spent a lot of money at Pepboys over those years. I will never step into another PepBoys or shop on their website ever again.
