Ordered a transmission over the phone took 1 month to come in which I was ok with. This was in the beginning of January.installed the transmission on my 2004 Dodge diesel the next day had the core shipped back two days later. Called because have not received core of deposit check of $750.00 one month later. They stated this was because of they did not receive my signature on the warranty information. That was also fine, faxed it over got confirmation from them that they had received it. This was in March of this year 2008. They told me I should be getting the check in the next few weeks.
I made several attempts to contact them in regards to my refund check over the next several months. It was always no return on phone call or anther accuse why the owner could not sign the check.
Finally in August eight months into this now with baby on the way could use the money. I call again and make threat of contacting an attorney. Was told the check will be mailed this week. The check actually arrives so I put it in the bank; tell the fiance she can use that money for baby stuff. August 13th of 2008 my bank removes $750.00 from my checking account.
Now I am in trouble, I have written several checks that will be sure to bounce 5 total. That is $35.00 at my bank and $35.00 from institution totaling and additional $350.00. Wish they would have just given me another reason why they could not send it. I called Phoenix Transmission and was told that my check might be one of the checks that were written out of a cancelled account. I have old check books from old accounts and would never write checks from them.
My instructions from them was to fax over a copy of the check and sum of the additional charges that I had accrued and they would pass it on to higher ups to discuss it. What does that mean in another six months of discussion the owner of Phoenix Transmission may pay me back? That does not help my current situation my own personal check fraud. I had to call all of the companies and explain the situation of why my monthly payment is not valid, what an embarrassment for starters. If I were to do this I would be committing a crime theft over 200.00 is a felony how can they think this is ok.
