I filled out an online application for a car loan for people with bad crediton 7/7/08. I received an email from Bluesky auto finance telling me to contact a representative at theur participating dealer on this same date. I was told to contact Louie Ferreira at (718) 515-2277 x225. On this same date I was then contacted by Angela Padilla and told that I qualified for a car loan and to contact her. I made an appointment on line for 7/20 @2p. I was then contacted by Mr. Ferreira on 7/9 and asked if I could come in earlier as the loan was time sensitive. I contacted Ms. Padilla on 7/10 and made an appointment to meet with her on this same date. I asked Ms. Padilla how much the loan was for and she stated that I had been pre-approved for a $32000 loan. I also asked how much money down I would be required to pay and she stated that they have no money down vehicles. When I arrived at Victory Auto and stated that I was there to see Angela, I was instead helped by doug initially. I gave him my drivers license and 2 recent pay stubs. I also filled out the paperwork. He asked how much money down I wanted to put on the vehicle and my response was that if at all possible I did not want to put any money down. Doug had difficulty figuring out my annual income based on my pay stubs and asked for assistance from Jimmy. Once he finished, he let Doug finish but stood close by. Doug began telling me that I needed to put down $1750 on a vehicle... Now we never even discussed what type of vehicle I was interested in yet so how could he know how much money down was needed is beyond me. I asked if the $1750 would cover insurance and tags? Doug could not respond then he said I would need a total of $2500. I then questioned how much the loan was for and he stated $15000, and I looked disgusted. I explained that I was given different information earlier and was disappointed in the large discrepency. Doug and Jimmy both expressed that they were surprised that a bank would finance me given my credit so I was lucky. Jimmy then decided he was going to see what he could do for me. He basically kept asking when I could bring him the $1750 and I kept asking about tags and insurance, and the response was that I was on my own in getting that. I told Jimmy that I would have the money next week and his response was that the vehicle probably would not be there. I told him I would contact him later. I then realized that they advertise as Bronx Suzuki but do not sell any certified pre-owned Suzuki Vehicles. I was completely disturbed by my interaction with Doug and Jimmy and felt that they were scam artist. They never told me how much any vehicle on the lot was and I do not think they were being honest about the loan. If anyone is looking to buy a pre-owned vehicle I do not reccomend going to Bronx Suzuki/Victory Auto.
