Car breaks down they are charging me a diagnostic fees told me nothings wrong

I bought my car at Carmax, like a good customer and wanting to protect myself incase anything happens to my "used" car I also purchased the warranty. I know the ins and outs of the warranty like if I take it in to a Carmax and something is wrong with the car and they fix it, I owe them just the deductable ($50).

I was driving to work on a Monday morning and all of a sudden my car dies on the exit ramp and I coasted to the feeder and had to push my car onto the shoulder out of traffic. The car just died no warning except that it did do this before several times in the past week, but I was able to start it back up and continue on down the road.

However this was not the case that Monday, the car died and there was a buzzing noise when I was signaling off of the freeway, this noise was only happening when I used my turn signal. When I was done pushing it I tried for about ten minutes to start it back up, it would turn over but the car just would not start. I called Carmax, No answer as usual you get a machine and no one calls you back.

So I called my Dad, who called my stepmother who works 15 down the road from where I broke down. She came and I showed her the problems I was having and she drove me to Carmax a couple of exits down I-45. When I arrived there were plenty of employees just standing around and they all avoided me pretty much, no one at all asked if I needed help with anything.

Finally I did talk to someone and he gave me a number to the towing company, didnt offer to let me use the courtesy phone but instead just walked off (used my cell minutes). When he came back he took my info and said thats it.

So I left and my Dad met us down the road since my Stepmom had to go back to work. We went back to my car and I showed him exactly what was happening. We could not get it to start even after it had been sitting for a while. The tow truck took about twenty minutes and they took my car to Carmax.

I did not hear from them till way later that day and they said it looks fine it started right up when they took it off of the truck, and I told him that it had done that multiple times over the last several days and I was able to start it up back up but this time I wasnt and he said they would check it out, I also told him about the buzzing noise when i flipped the blinker on.

They called me back the next day saying that my car is in excellent condition and there is nothing wrong with my car. I know something is wrong or I would not have had it towed there, missed a day of work, or sat on the road for an hour. I told the guy that somethings wrong its been doing this for several days, he insists they have done every test they can do and found nothing, I dont know if their tests include driving it on the freeway for 30mins but I doubt it, Im pretty sure they just hooked it to a computer and tried to pull codes off of it, by the way I did tell him the service engine light never came on.

When I finally asked where does that put me he said you owe us $131 in diagnostics and 50 for towing, total of $181 bucks, because there is nothing wrong with my car and I did ask when I needed to pick it up he told me I have a week. I asked for further testing to find the problem the guy said no there is nothing else we can do, and I quote him " You should take it to a dealership, maybe they can point to the specific problem easier than we can, we are all out of guesses." I could take it to a dealer it would cost me another diagnostics, which the dealer tells me a diag is $70.

I am going to call and complain to a manager but the last incedent I had did not get me anywhere. Im so mad and I am absolutely getting ripped off since I know for a fact something is wrong with my car, I have several witnesses to the problems Ive been having over the past week with this car dieing and not starting after I have driven it a little while.

This is about the actual third time they have tried to stick me with a bill that they wrongfully charged me.

Never ever ever buy a car from the Carmax and if you do never get the warranty.
