In Feb I had a pickup truck financed with Capital One, I also took out the disability insurance which increased my payments greatly.in Sept I became disabled due to unknown heart problems and was unable to work. At this time I was still making the payments on the loan. Dec. Of 2002 I had to have open heart surgery, at this time my income was gone, and I could no longer make my payments. I contacted Capital One concerning my disability insurance, since I had not received any information from the dealership or from them whom my insurance was through.
Well I finally got the insurance company's phone number and contacted them. I received a letter from the insurance company stating that I was in fact due benefits, (Capital One told me I wasn't in a very nasty manner), anyway to make this story shorter, Capital One repossed my truck without any warning. I still have the letter today from the insurance company, but Capital One has ruined my credit.
