I did not use capital's card until july the same year i received it, is now october 26th and a few months earlier i had added their disability insurance to protect my account via capital sales promotion in the amount of $7.00 and some cents that cover both cards.
Both cards had disability insurance via capital sales promotion services and a few months later i need to use the server. I had to close my business in feburary 2001 due to and injury requiring surgery. I called capital to place a claim for disability i received a claim form my doctor filed out my form and it was mail out sometime in feburary.
This is when i leard about add fees to my cards. I though i was safe because i was insured. Afer receiving my frist billing statement in which both had a $250 credit limit with a monthly payment of $20 with no fee's. After using them and reading my billing statement which showed two late fees ($25.00 each) had created a $160.00 balance on one card the other $120 still all under $250.00 credit limit, by may one card was $400's. Plus the other $500's plus.
They have pulled a fast one they had said that they had not received my claim form, i spoke to a number of supervisors about my claim for disability and had received a letter that stated my claim was approved. But too this date on my credit report it shows $1529 charge off on one card, the other $912 charge off. The question hear is how can a the billed dollar amount be greater than the approved credit line of $250.
After speaking with a number of capital's credit person in richmond, va. I knew it was hopeless
