Bait and Switch from quote to getting Policy

I went on line to farmers.com to get a Home and Auto quote. Upon giving all the information on the web I received a quote that was cheaper than my current policy.
I looked up the nearest rep to follow up on the online quote and found one just around the corner from my house.

I went in to the local office to ask if the online quote was accurate and was told sometimes, that all the information to give a true quote is not asked. I said ok lets try by giving the important info. After waiting for an hour to process the real quote for my home and auto it was still close to the online quote which I thought was great I am saving a lot of money by going with their quote. All that was needed were my vin #'s my home loan # and my wifes DL#. I thought this was great and I will be back tomorrow to finalize the deal.

I went in the next day and gave them all the necessary info. After inputting my wifes DL# the policy went up substantially. I asked why she has a clean record nothing for 5 years what gives. It seems as on the previous day our credit was pulled for our quote a usual and that my wifes credit score is better than mine so my wife was the primary on the policy. I thought no problem what ever works for them. The only thing that was different was I didn't have her DL #. Our credit was pulled all is good but going back the next day and inputting her info it changed. It should not have changed unless her record had and accident or citations, it was clean. So the local office call the corp office they saw the quote saw that it had changed but I am SOL with the original quote. It was then escalated to the regional manager and she also said NO!

So here is the Bait and Switch. No one can explain the glitch in their software. They do not honor their price quotes either online or in the office. I know its not the independents fault since they didn't purchase the software used, if in case that was the problem. So I have filed with the BBB and the Insurance Commissioner to see if even I get a response.
