Two days ago I wanted to change my insurance company to save money on my policy (currently $540 for a six-month period).
I got an online quote for $194.34 and I went to see the agent at the location headed by Mark Ullmann. I sat down with one of his subordinates and made it clear that I wanted only a bare bones policy with the minimum set by law.
The agent went to a different website to give me a quote for $472. I insisted that I was only interested in the $194.34 quote I was given online and that's when Mark got involved saying that the policy I was interested in was ridiculous and nobody writes a policy for that premium (when I pointed out to him there's a company in NJ that does it for a dollar a day, he said that's ridiculous).
Of course Mark challenged my offered premium from the online quote so I said we can go online to check it out together which he refused to do - in fact he said he was unaware that people can get a quote from online and didn't know about the website I went to (which is laughable because his new physical address with a picture of his smiling face is listed on the website I got the $194.34 quote from).
Of course the website offered me the opportunity to email the quote to Mark which I did. Lo and behold Mark says he checked his email and says he didn't get it (why am I not surprised?)
To sum it up, if I don't get satisfaction in a week, my next stop will be the insurance commissioner.
