Right now I would not recommend this Service Station, if you are from out of town anyways. I had a starter changed out on my car there when I was in town and it went bad 3 months later. I had to have it changed out through my mechanic here where I live in Las Vegas to get it back running.
My mechanic here in Las Vegas, who I know and have taken all my cars to for at least 3 years now, said he would honor the warranty and return the amount for the part to the customer.
When I called and talked to the mechanic there at Glendale 76 he told me that they don't do that. That "no place" does it that he knew of, that the car has to be looked at by them, that I should have brought it to them and they would have put in a new starter if that was the case, that there could be something else wrong with the car to have caused the problem like the fly wheel.
There is nothing else wrong or I would still have the same problem! The teeth of the starter spline still look new and are not damaged or wore down any place.
All the above even after I told him I was from out of town.
I have left my phone numbers with the mechanic twice to give to the owner but have not received any replies. I have also sent an email to the owner without a reply. I have had to keep calling back to keep things somewhat progressing through the mechanic.
I am supposed to meet with the owner this Saturday. The mechanic made sure to remind me again that he told me that they don't return money on warranted defective parts (don't honor the warranty basically). The mechanic said the owner will do something for me, whatever that means.
I just want the money. He should be able to just turn it back into his supplier for a credit or refund himself. I am an electrical business owner and know how I am treated when I have defective items to turn in, and that is good.
Well let you know what happens and whether or not I will change my Review.
