I purchased a car from a dealership in Oct. 2006. I received my regular notice in the mail June but to find a wopping $934.55 bill! $314.26 more than what I normally pay! The statement said that because no insurance information was received they automatically applied insurance to my vehicle... That is already insured. Puzzled I contacted the 1-888 number and a female stated that I had a balance of $314.26 and was stating she needed payment. I nicely explained my situation and she said that because Wells Fargo Auto Finance Center has issued insurance on the vehicle... That already has insurance, the payment that I just made only $306.03 went towards the vehicle and I still owed the remaining balance. I am to pay this and submit a copy of my "Declarations" page and when they get around to it they will reimburse me.
So, basically they choose to pay for the insurance first before the actual payment. Great, I get that. What I don't get is how I continuously fax them my "Declarations" page and have my insurance company contact them, they still insist on charging me for insurance that. I already have. My insurance has never expired and my insurance company has insured 3 vehicles of mine for over 2 years. Something needs to be done about this. I feel like I'm being cornered and have no choice but to pay an additional $314.26 cents that I do not have. We need to do something about this. Keep writing complaints, maybe someone will listen.
