Im restoring/hot rodding a 1951 chevy truck doing 1951 chevy truck and along with a new motor and suspension I wanted a Quality transmission backing everything up, I went in to our local cottman trans shop and bought a 700R bench unit for $1102.08 I thought the price was a little high but for a quality trans I didnt have any problems paying for it. The manager "Jason" said he didnt have one ready but he would have one ready the next day at noon,
The next day came around and I didnt get a call so I called them later in the day and was told Ill call you in about a hour to when it's done. Well 5 oclock came around and no call, so the next dat I called in the morning to see if it was done and was told by Jason I told you I will call when its done! That the "guys" had went to lunch and he would call in about a hour when they got back to come and pick up the trans, it was about a hour before closing and i had some other parts to get and drove by to find out if it was done, Jason said that it "would be done in a few" so I pulled my truck around to the garage to drop off my core and seen ALL the "guys" gathered around Jason laughing and joking aloud, NO ONE DOING NOTHING! I heard Jason tell one of the guys to "just hurry up and get it done!"
I waited about another hour before I ask Jason "I dont want a rushed job on my trans im putting alot of money in this old truck and would like to only have to do the job once" to that Jason replyed "what the hell to you mean by that! Look I'll give your money back for a coment like that I dont need your f*ng s*t! So I said fine give me my money back and to that he replyed YOU F*ING PIECE OF S*T on second thought F*K YOU Ive got a piece of paper that you sighned receiving this transmission now get it off the cart and GET THE F*K OUT OF MY BUILDING! And just try to use your warranty! Then nobody even loaded it in my truck! Much less said "Thank you"
I cant believe what had happened! Im sorry for cussing like that but SOMEONE needs to know what kind of Manager Jason is and I cant believe you would want the cottman name behind that. I made a police report of the matter and also contacted the local news to inform them of this fine work practice. And tomorow Im going to try to get ahold of the owner but that will be hard because Jason "the manager" answers the phone and Im sure wont let me talk to him. I wont be treated this way and I wont stop until something is done about this
