Hi. I'm a owner of a 97 Audi A8 who was ripped of by company who rebuilds a transmissions for living, well, rebuilding is not a proper word in this case. Phoenix Remanufactured Transmissions are a bunch of criminals who steals your money and let you deal on your own with the pile of junk they send you instead. If you in a market for rebuild transmission and you happened to read this, I will warn you a consequences and if you dont listen, you will suffer, trust me on this one. AVOID PHOENIX REMANUFACTURED TRANSMISSIONS (aka PRT) AT ALL COST!
I purchased rebuild transmission from this company on July just because they stated on e-bay that all rebuild transmissions are coming out of their doors are dyno tested and price was lower than quoted at the local shop. If only I knew how wrong I was by letting them do the work. I recieved rebuild transmission a months and a half later (instead of 2 weeks promised) and torque converter was missing. After waiting another month for torque converter to show up I finally had everything I need to install rebuild transmissions.installation shop called me and told me that circulation pump was damaged and needs to be replaced. I called John and asked him to send me a new pump, he did. Now we are at a total of 4 months since the payment was made and I still nowhere close to be driving my Audi. After I got a new pump, transmission was installed back in the car just to discover that it has no reverse gear!!! Unbeliavable. At that point my patiance came to the end and I filed a complaint with BBB. All my attempts to resolve this issue with PRT and Mr. Frank C Kupperman lead to nothing after a dosens of e-mails sent and numerous phone calls, they just DO NOT respond to left messages. My current dispute case is finally at the arbitration stage where I hoping to get full refund for that junk they sent me. They selling transmissions WITHOUT DYNO TESTING THEM as they state, refusing to refund you and have the worst business practices I EVER HAD TO DEAL WITH!
