When I turned in my leased vehicle, a 2002 Toyota Camry, to Phillips Toyota, I was charged for excessive wear and tear that did not exist. My car was in excellent condition.
When I called them to scheule my inspection and to turn in my vehicle, they told me to just bring the car in anytime and drop it off, which I did. They had me sign my odometer statement, they saw the car and led me to believe that everything was fine. A few weeks later, I received an outrageous invoice!
When I contacted Toyota's corporate office, they told me that Phillips Toyota would be contacting me by the end of the business day on 9/25/06. They never did! Probably because they know they gouged me.
I have leased vehicles for many years and have NEVER had to pay anything when I've turned in my vehicles. I take care of my vehicles. Phillips Toyota misled me and lied about the excessive wear and tear to make a quick buck. Now they are hiding their heads!
