My husband was employed by JD Byrider and had to purchase his uniforms through the company at $12.50/ month. After employment is terminated the employee is to be reimbursed for all uniform payments once they turn in the uniforms. My husband has worked for JD Byrider twice, the first time he quit and returned uniforms within a couple days and his uniform check was sent right away. This time he quit a month ago and the controller said that they are going to keep his uniform money since he didn't pick it up within the month. He called every week to see when his uniform check is in and Julie kept saying that it was not in yet. Last Thursday Tiffany the assistant called my husband and said the check was there and to pick it up by 8pm. My husband was there at 5:30 and Julie was in a meeting and told Tiffany that she would not come out of the meeting to give him the check. He waited for 1/2 hour and she would not give him the check. Today when he called her, she said that the check was never in and that JD Byrider is keeping his check and not giving it back.
For all of you that have been burned by JD Byrider, I am truely sorry. This company sells lemons and all cars are purchased at the auctions in bad condition. The mechanics are to fix the cars enough for you to get off the lot... And nothing more. The warrentees are worthless... They put bad parts on the cars.
Good advise, go to another place if you have bad credit... This is not the place to go. Thankfully my husband got smart and left. All the mechanics have left marietta because they are not really working as mechanics, but more like witch doctors. Good Luck.
Now, what can we do to get the uniform money back? I am calling the IRS and Georgia DOR to report them, hopefully they will get audited. We also know that the managers at the Marietta office doctor the books because my husband turned in the last manager and he was fired for fixing the books.
