I purchased a "1999" Chevy Blazer with 58k miles on it from Grogans Towne. They promised it was insepcted for saftey, offered me a 3 month warranty and said if I have ANY problems to let them know and they will take care of it. I also purchased a 3 years extended warranty.
From the time I drove it home I felt as if the steering was hard, I called and they said I wasn't used to driving a 4wd/suv and to give it time. I gave it a month and took it in. They said the breaks were sticking and they cleaned them up and gave it back. I drove it home and it still was not fixed. Took it back and they tell me that the Calipers, tie-rod ends, ball joints, and wheel bearings need replaced and that the warranty only covers he Ball Joints and Calipers. I told them they should pay for the rest because the vehicle had to have been this way when they sold it to me. They said oh no, those things are general maintance and they may not cover it.
I get into an argument with them and they tell me I am only saying that because I want them to pay for it cause I have no money. He finally agrees to have his mechanic look at it and they fix the bearings and find then that the motor mount too needs fixed. They fix that. Keep in mind, he wouldn't give me a rental, I had to get one from the local dealership affiliated with them as they were the ones doing all the work, not the dealer I bought it from.
I get the truck back and it STILL is not fixed and NOW is making a weird noise. I call him and tell him and he says you can bring it in but I want you to start paying money. (why should I? They sold it to me this way). I decide to take it somewhere else and pay 130 bucks to get an alignment and Idling Arms worked on.
Get the truck back, and today I was driving my boyfriend to work and the car breaks down, I pull into a dealership, their mechanic look at it and what do you know, the transmission went out on it. I call them, they say they will send a tow truck but I have to drive to Toledo (50 mins from where I am stranded) if I want a rental and that he will only cover the rental if the problem with the Blazer is a covered componet. Shouldn't everything be covered? They sold me this truck in unsafe conditions, have had nothing but problems since I bought it and they barley want to do crap for me. So I am stuck at a dealership, have to get a ride home from a strange guy.
I get home, call them and tell him if it is not covered he better fix the rest cause he sold it to me this way, and he hangs up the phone on me. Nice service huh? I have only had this truck 3 months now, it has been in the shop at least 6 times, and all I get from them is rudeness. Please do not ever buy a car from Grogans Towne. Ever!!
