I purchased a 2003 Hummer H2 in Nov from Motor Car Concepts. I also bought the "Gold Plan" warranty because I know sometimes things go wrong with used vehicles. When I purchased the vehicle it had a lift kit on it. Now that I need to use the warranty, nothing that needs to be repaired is covered.
The warranty company says that the warranty should not have been sold to me and they do not cover any parts that COULD HAVE failed due to the lift kit because it is considered an after market modification. The transfer case blew up, the drive shaft, front differentials, tie rods, gears, bearings, pittman arms, ball joints ect... The Hummer dealer says they never seen anything like this before.
Motor car Concepts says that they fired the person who sold me the warranty and states they will refinance me and get me a warranty that will cover those items, but it would be going forward. Almost $10K out of my pocket to fix everything. They say that it is not their responsibility and they will not pay. Motor Car Concepts is a dealer that I suggest noone buys from.
