I bought my car on Wednesday 1st February. Overall, I was impressed with the transaction. It was smooth, I got the financing I wanted, and compared to my other experiences with used car dealers, it was fast.
When I bought the car, I did notice that certain things were not functioning such as the driver door lock, dome lights. I told my salesman, and he entered a service order.
This past weekend I wanted to take a good look around the car to see what it had and if there was anything wrong with it. The car was filthy. Out of all the used cars I have ever purchased, this was the dirtiest. I spent three hours cleaning the interior, the windows were so dirt that it was hard to see out of at night.
Now for the mechanical problems, my brakes are warped, they pulse when stopping. I was driving on the freeway and had to stop very fast, it was almost impossible for me to keep a hold of the wheel as it was vibrating soo much. This is a safety issue, and should have been fixed before the car was put on the lot.
My transmission is also acting strange. It takes a few seconds from backing up for the car to fully engage in first gear to drive. Also, as I was driving down the freeway, I pushed the gas pedal to over take another car, the car shifted violently from 4th to 3rd and cause me to bang my head on the head rest. This is another safety issue.
Luckily, I know enough about cars so I am able to pretty much 100% diagnose the problems that I am seeing. This will help if they start to B$ me about what they say is wrong. I am taking the car in tonight to drop it off, hopefully I will get a loaner while mine is in there.
