I went though an attempted screw job with these folks as well. I took my truck (95 Chevy S-10) in for service (oil change and "tune up") after it had begun to run a little ragged. I had 200,000 miles on it and I knew it would never be perfect. It took 2 days for them to do the service, I went to pick it up and noticed that it ran waaay worse. I was told by the service manager that it needed a great deal more work to make it serviceable and safe to drive. I left the truck onsite, and asked them to change the fuel filter to see if that wouldn't improve the performance. I was called 2 days later and was told the truck was ready for pickup. It still ran badly. I was charged in excess of $180 for the oil change and tune up, and when I asked EXACTLY what had been done to the truck, I was told that the oil had been changed (not the filter) and the spark plugs had been changed (but NOT a tune up). After having been told on several occasions to change the fuel filter (by both my husband AND myself), it was still was never done. After getting the 'gee whiz, aren't women STUPID eye roll' I was told by the service manager that people think a "tune up" will solve all a vehicles problems and that I could leave it there a while longer to see if they could figure out what was really wrong with it. I declined with a smirk.
Got a new vehicle out of this problem and I wouldn't advise ANYONE to go to 2 fat guys automotive!
