I Bought a Honda Accord in September of '04. They told me the DVD Rom in the back which is a data drive for the navigation plays DVD movies on the screen in the front of the vehicle and that when the new navigation data CD comes out from Honda to call them and they would have one waiting for me at the dealer for free.
I've called since then and they told me "IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT IN WRITING THEN NO IT IS NOT FREE AND YOU DO NOT GET IT FROM US, YOU GET IT FROM HONDA CORPORATE, WHO WAS YOUR SALESPERSON, LOU (salesperson) DOSN'T WORK HERE ANYMORE". Their sales manager of Honda of Annapolis also informed me that they hear that complaint from their buyers all the time.
The reason Honda of Annapolis hears this complaint is because there sales force is stating it verbally at the time of purchase, and then the dealer is not honoring it down the road. The Honda also had a paint chip on the hood I notice before I purchased. They told (they being salesmen, sales manager, finance manager) all garneted me "oh just come by on Tuesday when are detailer is here, he'll knock it out in an hour".
Honda of Annapolis blew me off twice on that one, then had a guy put a dab of touch up paint on the hood. Lessons learned get it in writing and tell as many people as possible not to buy a car from "Honda of Annapolis"
