Complaint / Review
OAK Motors
REPO/Service

Okay so this is my first time doing something like this and I will be nothing but honest.

I purchased my car from the OAK Motors at the north shadeland store on the eastside of indianapolis in April. I have done a great job at keeping the maintenance up on the car as well as the payments until about a month ago when I fell on hard times.

Now the fun part... On the night january 3 they repossessed my car. I gathered all the money they said I needed to get my car back. On Wendsday, Jan 4th, I called my account manager to discuss what I needed to do. She told me how much I needed and I explained to her that I wouldn't have until Friday the the 4th of january. So on that following Saturday I went into the eastside office to pay my payment and hopefully pick up my car and was told that my car was at the southside location. I called my account manager to see how I go about picking it up and she told me that they had to put a GPS Tracking Device on it because it was repossessed. Okay, i understand the car was
repossessed from my driveway (so I wasn't running from them) She explained that it was reposed because they couldn't get in contact with me. Which i also understood.

On Saturday I was told that I could pick it up by 4pm until the service supervisor told another account manager that he didn't have anyone to put the GPS in so I couldn't get it until the following Monday morning which was the 7th of January. Well Monday morning came and went. I called back about 12 noon and they said it was ready. Excitement... I don't like being without transportation, which I know was my fault.

I get there and no one could find my belongings that was in the car. They had took all my belongings out of the car. I got about 2:45pm and didn't get to leave until about 5:30-6:00pm due to them placing my belongings into another customers vehicle. So I had to wait until they contacted her and she brought my belongings back up there. So at about 5:50pm I wnet to drive off when I noticed that my service engine and T/C lights were on. I was confused as to what they were because I had never seen them come on before. They were closing so I continued home nervous as hell because I didn't know what the lights were on for and they weren't on before they go my car.

The next day on Tuesday the 8th of January, I drove my car back out there to see why these lights was on. They checked it out and told me that something was going on with my ABS system and it would cost me $693.43 to get it fixed. At this point I was really confused because NONE of these Lights was on or have ever been on before they repoed my car. The service supervisor told my account manage that my ABS light was on which was never on. Then told her oh, well that's why her T/C light (which I found out is the Traction Control) and that would make her service engine light come on. I can rant and rave all I want but it doesn't make the problem go away. They keep telling me that this is the first time anything like this has evered happened. I refuse to believe so. Can anybody help me as to what i can do. I also feel like me having the car for not even 9 months as of today, how can something that never was become a big problem while in their hands. What can I do?

I do want everyone to know that I was a happy camper up until I picked my car up from the southside location after the repossession.
