I went to this mortgage company seeking a loan to purchase a home. I was pre-approved and told that my credit score, which was 589 at that time was high enough to get qualified for 100% financing. Later, I was told that I could only get 97% financing, which was still okay with me. I then was told by the mortgage company that they really felt like they could get the 100% financing and they would shop around for a better deal.instead, I did not get the loan and was told that it was due to my credit score not being high enough.
I later found out that by repeated pulling my credit report caused my score to decline from 589 to 520. I was also told that I could not qualify for a FHA loan because of a low credit score. I contacted another mortgage company that told me that FHA loans are not score driven. I'm so confused and frustrated! I've lost a lot of sleep trying to buy a home for me and my children. I'm very upset and don't understanding why these mortgage companies tell you one thing and can do another.
