I applied for a commerical loan from Virtue Mortgage and it required a $500.00 earnest money deposit. Debbie McNutt stated that was the only money I needed for the loan. I told Debbie to run my credit now because my score was about 700 but I used my credit cards to restore a home and my score was going to drop fast. Later she called me and said my loan was approved and my credit score was above required 650.
She then stated I needed to put down 3% of the loan request. I only had $1,125.00 and I told her that if the loan did not close I would need my money returned. She then stated that all but the $500.00 would be returned if there were a problem with the closing. Debbie had me to overnite several more items to her as if it was a time issue to get my loan closed. I spent over a hundred dollars sending document she stated were needed.
Month or two later Debbie stated that my credit score was too low and I did not qualify for the loan. She refused to return any of my money and will not answer the phone whenever I call. I have lots of emails in reference to what I have typed. Emails that cover at least 3 to 4 months of communication between myself and Virtue Mortgage.
