My insurance and taxes are included in my mortgage payment. Last year homecomings paid my insurance to the wrong company. When I received a notice from my insurance company that my policy was about to expire I called homecomings.
To correct their mistake they sent a payment to my insurance company and notified the wrong company about the mistake. The wrong company told them, I was told by one of the customer service people for homecomings, that the refund had already been returned to homecomings.
However, it has been a year now and I am still being charged for the insurance payment to the wrong company. I was told at the time of the mistake that since it was homecomings mistake I would not be responsible for the money. But I am being held responsible for it. One customer service person told me it was the same as if they had loaned me the money, so I am responsible for paying it back.
I have called homecomeings every month since this mistake and keep getting the same answer. "We are working on it."
