Complaint / Review
Chase Bank
Pretender Lender whose full of lies

For millions of us, we now know the loan modification program is a farce.
I "worked" with Chase Bank for 3 years in my attempt to get one. Same story as most. Same paperwork sent over & over. Either they said it was outdated, didn't receive, blurred, too dark, etc, etc, etc.
I was foreclosed upon while still making those "90 day" modified pymts. (I made them for 16 mths, while they continued to tell me they were "running behind", but to "keep sending my money or I would be disqualified".
I was denied a Ruling 120 Response hearing by my local judge. That was wrong. I filed complaints with the OCC & my Attorney General's Office, stating that I have never gotten a statement from EMC Mortgage/Chase Bank on how much I owe, or have paid, & dispute the amt.

Chase Bank even sent the same partial statement to my Atty Gen's ofc, stating that's all the records they had, yet they were allowed to take my home of 20 years anyway!!! I was asked by both the OCC & my Atty Gen's ofc if I'd considered hiring an attorney! Of course I had, & of the more than a dozen I spoke with, they all said I have a case for my home, as well as damages. Problem is, the litigation would cost $200,000 & 2 yrs in court. I had given all my money to Chase Bank, in my attempts for a modification. I couldn't afford an attorney. Still can't.

I was NOT underwater on my home. I lost everything I had, including around $80,000 in equity, even in today's market. I was evicted from my home in January. I'm a 60 yr old single female.
I have lost everything, & caution anyone attempting a modification to not believe a word they say.
They fully intend to take your home, no matter if it's legal or not. I know first hand, as I'm a victim.
I had even had a forensic audit done by a firm that bragged of a 97% success rate in obtaining modifications.
They obviously failed in my case.

I have since found a website that is a wealth of information. Had I discovered it a couple years ago, I may still be in my home. I still hope to sue Chase, but that's difficult when you have no money, isn't it?
The website is: www.livinglies. Wordpress.com I highly recommend you check it out if you're fighting your "lender".
Perhaps this will help others, before they end up like me, starting my life over at my age with nothing.
May Chase Bank & the rest of these Pretender Lenders rot in hell.
